NXP went public on the NASDAQ in 2010, and in 2015, NXP acquired Freescale Semiconductor, which was founded by Motorola, to become one of the world's top 10 non-storage semiconductor company and the world's largest automotive semiconductor supplier (Strategy Analytics).
